These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Remitty’s website, mobile app, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to these Terms.

1) Who we are

Remitty provides a consumer wallet and transfer experience built on the REMI Protocol. Certain regulated components of the Services are performed by licensed and regulated third-party partners (including payment processors, banks, and other financial institutions) where required. Certain parts of the Services may be provided by third-party partners (including payment processors and financial institutions). Those partners may have their own terms that also apply.

2) Eligibility and account registration

You must meet eligibility requirements (such as age and residency) and provide accurate information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.

3) Using Remitty

You agree to use Remitty only for lawful purposes and not to:

  • Engage in fraud, money laundering, sanctions evasion, or prohibited transactions.
  • Attempt to access systems or data that you are not authorized to access.
  • Interfere with the security or integrity of the Services.

We may suspend or terminate access if we believe you violated these Terms, the law, or partner requirements.

4) Deposits, transfers, and timing

Remitty uses the REMI Protocol and licensed partners to route deposits, FX execution, and payouts. Availability and timing can vary based on partner processing, network conditions, compliance checks, limits, and other operational factors.Transfers are designed to be fast and available 24/7, but timing can vary due to network conditions, partner processing, compliance checks, limits, or other operational factors.

You authorize Remitty, the REMI Protocol ecosystem, and our licensed partners to process deposits, conversions/FX execution, and payouts as part of delivering the Services.

5) Fees and FX

Remitty’s core pricing principles are:

  • Flat fee: Remitty charges a flat fee starting at $1 per transfer (unless waived via promotions or reward redemptions)
  • 0% FX markup: Remitty does not add FX markups; the FX rate used is shown before you confirm.

If any partner charges apply for a specific method or route, they will be shown to you before you confirm.

6) Limits, holds, and compliance checks

For security and compliance, we may set limits or place holds on deposits or transfers, request additional information, or delay or decline transactions. We may also reverse transactions where required by law, partner rules, or to address suspected fraud.

7) Promotions and rewards

From time to time, Remitty may offer rewards, points/coins, fee waivers, or promotional pricing. Additional terms may apply and will be presented at the time of the offer.

8) Licensed partners and third-party services

Some parts of Remitty depend on licensed partners and third parties (such as banks, payment processors, card issuers, and wallet networks) participating in the REMI Protocol ecosystem. We are not responsible for third-party systems or outages outside our control.

9) Intellectual property

Remitty and its logos, branding, and software are owned by Remitty or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, or create derivative works except as permitted by law.

10) Disclaimers

The Services are provided on an “as is” basis to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that transfers will always complete in the same time window.

11) Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Remitty will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, or data.

12) Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Remitty from claims arising out of your misuse of the Services or violation of these Terms.

13) Changes to the Services or Terms

We may modify the Services or these Terms from time to time. We’ll post updates and update the effective date. Your continued use of the Services means you accept the updated Terms.

14) Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of United Arab of Emirates, excluding conflict-of-law rules.

Privacy Policy

Remitty (“Remitty,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides a consumer mobile wallet that helps users fund a balance and send money to recipients in emerging markets. Remitty is built on the REMI Protocol and relies on licensed and regulated partners to support regulated services where required (such as payment processing, FX execution, custody/settlement services, and payout/disbursement). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we share it, and the choices you have.

If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use Remitty.

1) Information we collect

We collect information in three main ways:

A. Information you provideThis can include your name, email address, phone number, date of birth, address, identity verification information, and other details you submit when you create an account, complete verification checks, contact support, or submit forms.

B. Information we collect automaticallyWhen you use Remitty, we may collect device and usage data such as IP address, device identifiers, operating system, app version, language, time zone, pages/screens visited, and diagnostic logs.

C. Information from partners and third partiesTo help run Remitty and meet legal obligations, we may receive information from service providers and partners, such as identity verification providers, payment processors, banking partners, card issuers (if applicable), fraud prevention vendors, analytics providers, and compliance screening vendors.

2) How we use your information

We use information to:

  • Provide the service (create and maintain accounts, process deposits, initiate transfers, display pricing and quotes, provide receipts and status updates).
  • Verify identity and prevent fraud (KYC/KYB where applicable, sanctions screening, transaction monitoring, risk scoring, account security).
  • Communicate with you (customer support, service announcements, policy updates, and—if you opt in—marketing).
  • Improve Remitty (debugging, performance monitoring, product analytics, feature testing).
  • Comply with law (respond to lawful requests, keep required records, enforce our terms, and protect Remitty and its users).

3) How we share your information

We share information only as needed to deliver the Services via the REMI Protocol ecosystem and our licensed partners.We may share information with:

  • Service providers that help us operate Remitty (identity verification, analytics, hosting, security, customer support tools).
  • Financial and payment partners needed to fund and complete transfers, including licensed payment providers, banks, and payout partners used by Remitty through the REMI Protocol.
  • Compliance and risk partners (screening, fraud prevention, monitoring).
  • Affiliates (if Remitty is part of a group of companies), for internal operations consistent with this policy.
  • Legal and safety disclosures where required by law or to protect rights, users, and the platform.
  • Business transfers if we’re involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.

We do not sell your personal information.

4) Cookies and similar technologies

Our website and in-app experiences may use cookies and similar technologies for security, preferences, analytics, and measuring the effectiveness of our communications. You can adjust browser settings to control cookies on the website.

5) Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:

  • Access, correct, or delete your personal information.
  • Object to, or restrict, certain processing.
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
  • Receive a copy of certain information (data portability).

6) Data retention

We keep personal information as long as needed to provide Remitty and for legitimate business purposes. We may retain certain information longer where required by law, for compliance, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, and security.

7) International transfers

Remitty may process and store information in countries other than your own. We take steps designed to ensure appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers where required.

8) Children

Remitty is not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9) Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information. No system is 100% secure; please keep your account credentials confidential and contact us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

10) Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post updates here and revise the effective date.

Security Policy

Remitty takes security seriously. If you believe you’ve found a security vulnerability, we appreciate responsible disclosure so we can investigate and fix it.

1) Responsible disclosure

Please report suspected vulnerabilities to info@remitty.xyz.

In your report, include as much detail as possible:

  • A clear description of the issue and why it’s a security risk
  • The affected product, feature, endpoint, or page
  • Step-by-step reproduction instructions
  • Proof-of-concept code or screenshots (if applicable)
  • Any test accounts you used (if applicable)
  • Your preferred contact information

2) What happens next

After receiving your report:

  • We will acknowledge receipt and provide an initial response within 72 hours.
  • We will keep you updated on progress as we investigate.
  • When resolved, we will notify you of the outcome.

3) Confidentiality

Please keep the vulnerability details confidential and do not publicly disclose them until we have investigated and, where necessary, remediated the issue.

We keep reports confidential, including the identity of reporters, subject to legal or regulatory requirements.

4) Safe harbor

If you follow this policy in good faith, we will not pursue legal action related to your research. This does not cover actions that put users at risk, disrupt services, or involve data theft.

5) Out of scope (examples)

To keep reports actionable, the following are generally out of scope unless you provide a working proof of concept that demonstrates material risk:

DNS cache poisoning; missing SSL/TLS best practices without a working PoC; self-XSS and self-exploitation issues; issues requiring a rooted/jailbroken device; brute force/rate limiting or denial-of-service style attacks; weak password policy complaints without exploitation; outdated libraries without a valid attack scenario; and issues relying on outdated/unpatched browsers or platforms.

6) Rewards and recognition

Remitty may choose to recognize valid reports and, at our discretion, offer rewards based on severity and impact. Not all reports are eligible for compensation.

7) Security tips for users

  • Use a strong, unique password and enable available security features.
  • Keep your device and app updated.
  • Don’t share verification codes or credentials.
  • Contact support immediately if you suspect suspicious activity.
